What is Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy?
Today, many men and women are living with unbalanced hormones that can cause a variety of symptoms, like fatigue, weight gain, reduced sexual libido, and much more. That's why at S.Aesthetics.MD, we offer BioTE bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), the process of inserting a small pellet under the skin that releases BHRT dosages customized to your particular needs into your bloodstream. Board-certified physician Dr. Tuan Doan and his team offer this service to both men and women at their Rocklin, CA facility. After meeting with Dr. Doan to discuss your symptoms, health history, and more, he will create a BHRT treatment plan specifically for you that will help balance your hormones and get you back to living your best life.

How is Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy Performed?
During your first consultation at our upscale Rocklin, CA office, Dr. Doan will complete a physical exam, ask you a number of health questions, get a list of medications, review your symptoms, as well as collect a blood sample. All of this information will help our team identify which hormones are imbalanced so we can create a custom treatment plan based on your particular needs. Every 3 – 6 months, we'll have you come in and we'll insert a BioTE pellet under your skin. This process involves providing you a local anesthetic, making a small incision, placing the grain of rice-sized pellet under your skin, then closing the incision. You should not feel the pellet at all. The pellet will slowly release the hormone therapy to help balance your hormone levels.
Does insurance cover BHRT?
Most health insurance companies don't over bioidentical hormone therapy, but it depends on your coverage and healthcare plan. The administrative team at S.Aesthetics.MD can review your benefits and help determine if your insurance covers BHRT. We also provide easy payment options in-office.
Can anyone use BHRT?
BHRT is not right for everyone. For example, hormone replacement is not recommended for pregnant women or those who are breastfeeding. It's best to attend an initial consultation and health exam to learn more about what BHRT can do for your specific needs in Rocklin.
How else can BHRT benefit me?
Hormone replacement therapy has been known to reduce symptoms of menopause, depression and anxiety, and low sex drive. Many people report better moods and more energy and focus. Some studies have also shown that BHRT may lessen your risk of heart disease, osteoporosis, and other medical conditions.
